WHAT DRAWS ME TO ART...

Acting and writing have always been my driving passions. I especially love these forms because they support a direct and potent relationship between an artist and their audience. There’s nothing like feeling the energy of a community in the room with you.

Ever since I was little, I was drawn to storytellers who captured the attention of a crowd with their humor, humility, and weirdness. I’ve developed my own artistic style mimicking my favorite creators, who’ve prioritized community, critique, uniqueness, and truth above all else. The artists that draw me in are able to fully transform themselves in order to deliver a transformative message to an audience.

My greatest sources of inspiration are my family and personal relationships. I love analyzing how larger societal issues carry through the microcosms of our most intimate discussions. The art I create balances naturalistic dialogue and heightened theater practices in order to evoke oscillations between familiarity and intense discomfort. I aspire to work on projects that are heartfelt and personal, but are equally effective at leaving strong impressions and making clear statements about philosophy, technology, identity, the environment, and social justice.

Some artists that inspire me are Annie Baker, Ben Folds, Tom Hardy, Christopher Abbott, Walton Goggins, Jonathan Franzen, John Mulaney, Hilton Als, Sean Baker, Charles Bernstein, and Suzan-Lori Parks.

Below you'll find a gallery of images that give a sense of the artist I am today. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me!
